Journal Staff Report
July 11, 2011

KIEV, July 11 – The board of directors of the Alcantara Cyclone Space, a Ukrainian-Brazilian bi-national company, will consider an updated schedule of work on the creation of the Cyclone-4 space rocket complex at the Alcantara launch site in Brazil at a meeting at the end of this year, General Director of the Alcantara Cyclone Space from Ukraine Oleksandr Serdiuk has said.

While commenting on the results of a visit to Ukraine on July 4-9 by a delegation of the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), headed by its new President Marco Antonio Raupp, Serdiuk said: "The results of the visit are positive and are even better than we expected. Our Brazilian colleagues were happy with what they saw."

He said that during their visit, the Brazilians had visited nine Ukrainian space industry enterprises that are involved in the implementation of the project. Among them were the Pivdenne Design Bureau, Pivdenmash, Dniprotiazhmash (all based in Dnipropetrovsk), Azovmash (Donetsk region), Hartron, Hartron Arkos (both based in Kharkiv), and Arsenal Central Design Bureau (Kiev), he Said.
